Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA. You will design and analyze electrical systems for building services, perform load analyses, and coordinate with other disciplines on complex projects to deliver innovative solutions.

With 5+ years in a corporate electrical engineering environment and a PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), you will mentor junior engineers and support energy compliance, grounding, and construction administration while

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
U.S. Citizenship required.
At least 5 years of experience in a corporate electrical engineering role.
Strong mentorship focus to develop future engineers.
Strong technical focus in Architectural Engineering space.
Proficiency in Revit and 3D CADD.
Active top secret clearance and CI poly is required.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze lighting systems and controls.
Prepare load analyses for different design stages.
Oversee drawings detailing system design and Basis of Design reports.
Document energy compliance calculations and forms.
Design grounding and lightning protection; evaluate redundant electrical systems.
Coordinate with engineers and architects across disciplines; support construction administration.
