Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a cleared Satellite Systems Engineer to support USG satellite networks in the Fairfax, VA area. You will provide Tier 2/3 network support, terminal maintenance, and manage spares and repair processes for reliable global satellite communications.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in satellite networks, RF theory, and familiarity with FDMA/TDMA, C/kt, C+N/N, and EIRP calculations, plus US citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing/operating satellite communication networks.
• Experience with federal government communication networks.
• OCONUS travel/field environment experience is desired.
• US citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph from day one.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 network support and terminal maintenance.
• Manage spares, component repair/return, and equipment inventory.
• Test and carrier manage satellite systems to ensure readiness.
• Coordinate annual field terminal characterizations using remote capabilities.
