Metlang is seeking Cleared Jamaican Patois Analytic Linguists to support law enforcement investigations through monitoring, transcription, translation, and analysis of communications. Qualifications

• Federal Clearance required.
• Ability to translate slang and colloquialisms.
• Candidates must pass language tests in English and Jamaican Patois.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and summarize foreign language communications.
• Transcribe and translate spoken language.
• Interpret orally from source to target language.
• Analyze information for explanation and interpretation.

Skills

Effective written and spoken communication skills in English and Jamaican Patois

Ability to summarize and translate audio and text in real-time

Prior interpreting and/or translating experience

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Typing speed exceeding 40 words per minute

Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
