Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a GNC Engineer for the Metro Phoenix, AZ area. The role involves running simulations of guidance, navigation, and control systems for national security, commercial aerospace, and space exploration projects.

You will work with other GNC engineers to ensure simulations meet customer requirements and performance specs, and you will read/modify flight code in C++ to test and design flight codes and tactical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of modeling and simulation experience for GNC in aerospace.
• Active Clearance required.
• Experience with missiles/hypersonic vehicles or weapons.
• Proficient in C++ and reading/modifying flight code.

As a GNC Engineer, you will be responsible for running simulations of guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace. You will work closely with other GNC engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the simulations meet customer requirements and performance specifications. Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7+ years of experience in modeling and simulation of guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace applications.
• Active Clearance is required.
• Must have experience with missiles/hypersonic vehicles or weapons.
• Strong knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control principles and systems, as well as flight code and flight testing.
• Experience with simulation model development and maintenance, including mathematical models and software models.
• Experience with C++ programming language, able to read and modify existing code as needed.
• Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
• Experience with flight test programs and data analysis. .
• Experience with 6DoF simulations -Mapping
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with autopilot algorithms.
