Job description

Team Lead – Cleared American Guard (TL)

Location: Worldwide Locations

Clearance: ACTIVE Top-Secret

The Team Leader shall receive and implement orders and special instructions from the SSM or Regional Security Officer concerning matters which affect the security operations of the site. They will possess the skills to handle the team’s administrative work at the site while participating as a working member of the team. The Team Leader is typically called upon by the SSM to coordinate with the General Contractor’s foreman to ensure upcoming work requirements are addressed and staffing is scheduled appropriately.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Maintain an active Top-Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Four (4) active years on the program.
  • Experience on two (2) construction projects within the past 4 years.
  • Good physical health and medical suitability for the position.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferably three (3) years of military experience as a Military Policeman or Marine Security Guard, or three (3) years as a security watch stander.
  • Experience with alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray devices, and CCTV systems.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English clearly and concisely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hold active DOS CAG certification.
  • Implement directives from the Site Security Manager (SSM) and Regional Security Officer (RSO).
  • Screen all non-cleared workers, vehicles, and equipment entering or exiting the site.
  • Deny entry of prohibited items such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other materials as specified by the Accrediting Official (AO).
  • Conduct random inspections of site areas to prevent prohibited materials from being brought in.
  • Report suspicious materials or incidents to the site security manager or surveillance technician.
  • Monitor non-cleared guards provided by the construction company.
  • Maintain and operate the Secure Storage Area (SSA) for construction materials and equipment.
