Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX, seeks a Cleans TR lead to supervise 6–10 equipment engineers and drive long‑term cost and quality improvements across SEMES tools and FOUP Washers.

You will coach the team, lead cross‑functional efforts, and own capital projects with budget tracking. Proficiency in Python/VBA and data tools is required, with on‑site work and lifting up to 35 lb.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or Computer Science.
• 5+ years semiconductor equipment engineering.
• 2+ years direct supervisory or lead experience.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting and qualifying fab tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, VBA) and data‑analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Supervise 6–10 equipment engineers with coaching, performance reviews and growth plans.
• Lead Lean/TPS/6S and foster a collaborative culture.
• Oversee equipment lifecycle from qualification to de‑commission for fab tools.
• Manage CPM activities, daily status reviews, and qualification matrix updates.
• Review pass‑downs, WIP, and work queues each shift.
• Prioritize repairs, parts orders, and qualification tasks.
• Supervise PTP/WR tickets for non‑urgent work.
• Drive quality initiatives and cost/throughput improvements.
• Use Python, VBA, Spotfire, JMP to analyze data and propose adjustments.
• Coordinate with SEMES, Fab Engineering, Maintenance and support groups on tough problems.
• Own capital projects for new/upgraded equipment with cost justification and scheduling.
• Lead cross‑functional TFTs on Stop‑Loss and BM reduction; ensure SAS protocols.

The Leviathan team is primarily responsible for SEMES tools, and FOUP Washers. These tools are responsible for cleaning wafers at virtually every layer in the factory and the leader will have visibility to a large number of integrated/complex issues.
