Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree desirable.
• 2-4 years relative experience in at least one of the critical Finishing functions.
• Experience with clean room operations, interferometer equipment, lapping equipment and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with precision measurement methods and systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints and process procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
• Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems).

Responsibilities

• Complete assemblies and subassemblies, operate precision measuring equipment, perform fine cleaning activities, and complete cleanroom tasks.
• Bond and assemble small components and assemblies.
• Clean, inspect, and verify components and assemblies meet quality requirements.
• Perform final inspection of finished products using precision measuring equipment and documented inspection criteria.
• Accurately document inspection results and verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.
• Package finished goods in accordance with established procedures to ensure product protection and shipment readiness.
• Prepare and organize completed products, documentation, and packaging materials for customer shipment.
• Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications to improve efficiency, quality, and adaptability to production requirements.
• Confer with engineers, production personnel, and other stakeholders to solve issues.
• Maintain safe, clean, orderly, and organized work areas.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion and organization of required paperwork and production records.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
