Avantor is seeking Cleanroom Technicians for its Aurora, OH location to support 2nd and 3rd shift operations in a sterile production environment.

Responsibilities include following process specifications, operating equipment, maintaining cleanroom protocols, and contributing to safety, quality, and documentation while handling up to 50 lbs. Collaborative team work is essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • High School completion or GED.
  • 0-2 years equivalent production in a cleanroom.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment and participate in fabrication, assembly or testing in a cleanroom environment.
  • Follow written/verbal process specifications to complete assignments.
  • Maintain cleanroom protocols and cGMP compliance to support ISO Class 7 environment.
  • Package finished product per Work Instructions and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist in set-up of work stations and maintain safety and quality standards.

Avantor is seeking Cleanroom Technicians for our 2nd and 3rd shift at our Aurora, OH location.

Avantor is seeking Cleanroom Technicians for our 2nd and 3rd shift at our Aurora, OH location.

2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

3rd shift: Sunday - Friday 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM

The Cleanroom Technicians will work under close supervision, performs a variety of functions including fabrication, assembly or testing in the production of electrical, mechanical, or other components/devices manufactured or assembled in a clean-room environment. Operates appropriate equipment in performing the functions. Assists in setting up work stations and follows written or verbal process specifications in completing all assignments.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School completion or equivalent (GED)
  • 0-2 years equivalent experience in production in a cleanroom environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing

  • Works safely within the parameters of and complies with company Work Instructions and policies.
  • Weighs and fills chemicals or bulk products in accordance with Production Work Order (PWO).
  • Operates production scales, including verifications and calibrations.
  • Setup, operate, clean and maintain the following equipment: automatic heat sealer, electronic floor scale, pumps, crusher, auger filling unites, autoclave unites, vibrating filler unites, induction sealing equipment, portable exhaust hood, and other equipment as required.
  • Responsible for following cleanroom protocols and cGMPs in order to maintain ISO Class 7 environment.
  • Packages finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling) per Work Instructions.
  • Handles hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety gear.
  • Sweeps and mops floors and cleans workstation after each product filling.
  • Completes documentation in a legible manner; verifies and reviews for accuracy.
  • Maintains expected quality and quantity of work.
  • Follows cGMP policies and procedures for handling, storage, packing, manufacturing and distributing products.
  • Supports co-workers in their job responsibilities and is expected to work as a team player.
  • Be an activate participant in the continuous improvement process and follow appropriate change control procedures.
  • Instill a “build it right the first time” mentality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Typically works in a production/clean room environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day. The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
