Job summary

UniFirst Corporation in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking an entry-level Production teammate for UniClean Cleanroom Services. You will sort articles, gown in clean-room garments, weigh and process items, and support the workflow in a fast-paced environment.

No prior experience required beyond a strong work ethic; training provided. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a full-time, first-shift schedule on site.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two‑three‑syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Responsibilities

• Sort articles by item and material type.
• Gown in clean-room garments with a minimum of a hood, coverall, boots and gloves.
• Follow best practices for clean-room environments.
• Weigh articles, load articles into washer, start washer.
• Remove clean, wet articles from washer and place them into dryers for measured time cycles.
• Turn/right articles as necessary in preparation of packaging. Inspect for damage.
• Mend torn/damaged articles as necessary.
• Bundle/package articles to in accordance with work order requirements.
