UniFirst Corporation is seeking a motivated individual for a clean-room/contamination control role. No strict experience required; willingness to learn and strong work ethic are valued as part of growing with a leading garment services company.

You will perform gowning, isolation of articles, washing, drying, and packaging according to work orders, supporting quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or up to one month related experience.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Language Skills: ability to read a limited number of words and speak/simple sentences.
• Math Skills: basic addition/subtraction, multiplication/division with tens/hundreds.

Responsibilities

• Sort articles by item and material type.
• Gown in clean-room garments with a hood, coverall, boots and gloves.
• Follow best practices for clean-room environments.
• Weigh articles, load articles into washer, start washer.
• Remove clean, wet articles from washer and place into dryers for cycles.
• Turn/right articles as necessary in preparation of packaging; inspect for damage.
• Mend torn/damaged articles as necessary.
• Bundle/package articles to work order requirements.

Education

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
