Job summary

SKY Restoration DKI in Kentucky is seeking several full-time Cleaning Technicians to restore homes and businesses after property damage. The role covers cleaning and restoring contents, structural cleaning after fire/smoke/water damage, and delivering a safe, clean, and livable property.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and will receive on-the-job training. Must lift up to 50 pounds; 40 hours/week with overtime and after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Background check & drug screening.
• Participate in rotating on‑call schedule for night/weekend response to 24/7 emergency services.
• Must be physically capable to perform lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and restore customer contents damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mold.
• Perform structural cleaning of walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, and other building materials following fire and smoke damage.
• Complete general cleaning services for residential and commercial properties.
• Pack, inventory, transport, and unpack customer belongings using company procedures.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including HEPA vacuums, air scrubbers, ozone/hydroxyl generators, and other restoration equipment.
• Follow IICRC standards and company procedures for cleaning and restoration.
• Apply cleaning agents, deodorizers, and antimicrobial products in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Document work performed with photographs, notes, and inventory records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with customers throughout the restoration process.
• Load, unload, and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with demolition, debris removal, and other restoration tasks when needed.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also completing assigned tasks independently.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE requirements.
• Participate in after‑hours emergency response and on‑call rotations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support restoration operations.

Job Description

SKY Restoration DKI is seeking to hire several full‑time Cleaning Technicians. This position pays $17–19 hourly plus overtime pay and bonuses.

As a Cleaning Technician at SKY Restoration, you will play a critical role in restoring homes and businesses after property damage. The position is responsible for cleaning and restoring customer contents, performing detailed structural cleaning following fire, smoke, and water damage, and completing a variety of general cleaning tasks to return properties to a safe, clean, and livable condition. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service during challenging situations. Previous restoration experience is a plus but not required, as on‑the‑job training will be provided. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a fast‑paced environment, and maintain a professional attitude while representing SKY Restoration with integrity and compassion.

Hours: 40 hours/week, some overtime, on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergencies.
