Position Summary

Extra Time & Care Professional Services (ETCPS) is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking individuals to provide professional evening cleaning and janitorial services at client locations.

Cleaning services are performed primarily during evening hours between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with specific start times, end times, and workdays varying by assigned client location. Applicants are not required to be available all five evenings. Candidates who can consistently work at least three evenings per week are encouraged to apply, and ETCPS will make reasonable efforts to match employee availability with available client schedules.

The Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming environments while providing dependable and courteous service. Because employees represent ETCPS while working in our clients’ facilities, professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and respect for client property are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning responsibilities vary by client location and may include:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and floor surfaces.

• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, windowsills, doors, baseboards, and other surfaces.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, fixtures, and floors.

• Clean breakrooms, kitchens, common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces.

• Empty trash and replace liners.

• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.

• Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies when required.

• Clean glass, interior windows, doors, and mirrors.

• Perform periodic or detailed cleaning assignments as directed.

• Properly use cleaning products, chemicals, supplies, and equipment.

• Follow site‑specific cleaning instructions, checklists, and security procedures.

• Report damaged property, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, supply shortages, or unusual conditions to management.

• Secure client facilities as required, including properly locking doors and setting alarms when assigned.

• Complete assigned work thoroughly within the scheduled timeframe.

• Perform other cleaning and janitorial duties as assigned.

Schedule & Availability

This is primarily an evening cleaning position, Monday through Friday. Cleaning assignments are generally scheduled between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Employees may be scheduled for all five weekdays or for fewer days depending on their availability and the needs of our client locations. Candidates who are consistently available at least three evenings per week are encouraged to apply. We will discuss availability during the hiring process and consider it when assigning locations.

Being available from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM does not necessarily mean an employee will work a four-hour shift. Actual start times, end times, shift lengths, and number of workdays will depend on the assigned client location(s).

Because ETCPS provides contracted services to its clients, reliability is essential. Once an employee accepts an assigned schedule, they are expected to consistently report for those agreed-upon days and times.

Performance Expectations

ETCPS employees are expected to:

• Report to work on time and as scheduled.

• Maintain reliable attendance for assigned evening shifts.

• Notify management promptly if an emergency affects their ability to report to work.

• Complete all assigned cleaning duties before leaving the location.

• Maintain consistent cleaning quality and attention to detail.

• Follow instructions provided by ETCPS management and client-specific requirements.

• Treat clients, coworkers, and client property with professionalism and respect.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding information seen or heard while working inside client facilities.

• Use company supplies and equipment responsibly.

• Immediately report accidents, injuries, property damage, security concerns, or other incidents.

• Maintain professional conduct while representing ETCPS.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.

• Must be available for evening work, generally between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

• Must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Availability of at least three evenings per week is preferred.

• Monday through Friday availability is ideal but is not required for every position.

• Must be dependable and able to work with limited supervision.

• Must have strong attention to detail.

• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Must demonstrate honesty, professionalism, and respect for client property.

• Must have reliable transportation to assigned work locations.

• Must meet any background screening or other requirements applicable to assigned client locations.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the physical duties associated with commercial cleaning, including standing and walking for extended periods; bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and twisting; pushing and pulling cleaning equipment; safely using step stools when appropriate; and lifting and carrying cleaning supplies, trash, and equipment.

Employees must also be able to safely perform repetitive cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and scrubbing.

Work Environment

Work is performed at various ETCPS client locations during evening hours. Employees may work independently or as part of a cleaning team. Assigned locations, hours, and workdays may vary according to client contracts and operational needs.
