Cypress Rail Solutions is hiring a Railcar Cleaning Technician to support railcar repair operations in our shop environment in Erskine, MN. This entry-level, hands-on role is ideal for those ready to work in an industrial setting and build foundational skills in railcar maintenance.

As a Railcar Cleaning Technician, you'll clean interiors and exteriors, remove residue, and assist in preparing railcars for inspection and repair, ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met before service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic cleaning of railcars using hand tools and approved cleaning agents.
• Remove commodity residue, debris, and contaminants from railcar interiors and exteriors.
• Assist in preparing railcars for inspection, repair, and maintenance work.
• Support shop operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Participate in safety meetings and required training programs.
• Work under supervision to develop skills and improve efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
