Job description

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.
Please note, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma or GED to apply.

Essential Duties:
  • Follow department procedures to standardize cleaning practices at the store level.
  • Adhere to the cleaning department’s work schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through effective cleaning practices.
  • Be familiar with the Cleaning Department’s MSDS sheets.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established procedures.
  • Replenish restroom dispensers.
  • Shampoo carpets upon request.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe store furniture, arcades, and equipment; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Use and maintain assigned cleaning equipment and tools, including scrubbers, extractors, washers, brooms, mops, and squeegees.
  • Wash walls and glass surfaces; use ladders as needed.
  • Follow instructions regarding chemical and supply usage.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as needed.
  • Wash accessible interior and exterior windows.
  • Launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
  • Stay informed about company policies and procedures related to the Facility Department.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Regional Cleaning Specialist.

Non-Essential Duties:
  • Conduct alcohol and age restriction controls per company policies.
  • Perform lost and found procedures.
  • Seek continuous improvement in work processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of six months to one year experience in a bowling, entertainment, retail, or hospitality setting.
  • Experience in a cleaning environment, preferably in a bowling or game center.
  • Customer service experience in a similar environment, with strong verbal communication skills and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Previous experience in retail, restaurant, or customer service is required.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a bowling center/arcade environment with high noise, dust, and activity levels. The environment is typically loud.


Physical Demands:

Requires bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, and mobility in small spaces. Standing and walking for extended periods during busy times. Ability to handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift/move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
