Position Summary

OcyonBio PR Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Operator to join our operations team. This role is critical to maintaining the cleanliness and compliance of our CNC, ISO 8, and ISO 7 classified cleanroom environments, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

The Sanitation Operator will be responsible for executing daily cleaning schedules, supporting aseptic operations by maintaining controlled environments, and assisting with documentation of sanitation activities. This position is well-suited for individuals with strong attention to detail, discipline in following procedures, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation and cleaning activities for CNC, ISO 8, and ISO 7 cleanrooms and supporting areas according to established schedules (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Complete required gowning training and qualification, and follow established gowning, degowning, and contamination-control procedures.
• Maintain gowning integrity during sanitation activities and promptly report excessive perspiration, overheating, or gown damage that could affect employee safety or contamination control.
• Follow SOPs and cleaning protocols to maintain facility compliance with FDA, EMA, and GMP standards.
• Properly handle and prepare cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and sanitizing agents.
• Maintain accuraterecords and logs of sanitation activities in alignment with GMP requirements.
• Support environmental monitoring activities by ensuring areas are maintained in a state of control.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to ensure cleaning processes are consistent, documented, and audit-ready.
• Assist in periodic deep cleaning, equipment wipe-downs, and support for facility shutdown/startup sanitation.
• Identify and report any deviations, risks, or facility issues to supervision in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food processing, or GMP-regulated environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, based on cleaning rotation needs.
• Comfortable working in controlled environments requiring gowning and PPE.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with cleanroom classifications (CNC, ISO 8, ISO 7) and GMP documentation practices.
• Experience handling disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, and cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of aseptic practices and contamination control.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• This position requires regular work in classified cleanrooms while wearing the required gowning and PPE, which may include full-body coveralls, hoods, face masks, gloves, and boot covers.
• Duties involve extended periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive cleaning movements while gowned.
• Although cleanrooms are temperature-controlled, gowning can retain body heat and moisture, resulting in increased warmth and perspiration during physical activity.
• Candidates must be able to safely perform the essential sanitation duties while wearing the required gowning and PPE, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Personnel must follow established work/rest practices and cleanroom exit and reentry procedures when taking breaks or replacing compromised garments.
