Job summary

ServiceMaster Clean - Austin, TX is seeking an attentive cleaner to work flexible evening hours, cleaning an administrative building and a smaller adjacent site. Start times range from 10pm Friday night to 4am Monday morning, with ~6.5 hours per shift while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

The role involves sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom and window cleaning, inventory upkeep and use of PPE. On-the-job training is provided; opportunity for advancement is noted in benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean restrooms, windows and dust.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and use PPE as required.
• Open/close facilities and manage security system as needed.

Job Position Description:

This position has flexible hours between 10pm friday night - before Monday Morning (4am) to clean an administrative building and a small administrative building. Total hours approx 6 1/2 per clean.

This position is responsible for creating cleaner, healthier environments for our customers’, their students and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
• Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
• Treat all co-workers and customers with courtesy and respect
