Job summary

ServiceMaster Clean seeks a part-time custodian to clean an administrative building on a flexible night schedule. Hours run from 10pm Friday to 4am Monday, about 6.5 hours per shift. The role emphasizes creating cleaner, healthier environments for customers and their students and grounds.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and inventory maintenance. On-the-job training is provided, with emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and handle physical tasks
• Must be able to work flexible night hours
• On-the-job training provided to motivated candidates

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools and procedures
• Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean restrooms, windows, dust surfaces
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Use PPE as required
• Open/close facilities and manage security system as needed

Job Position Description: This position has flexible hours between 10pm friday night - before Monday Morning (4am) to clean an administrative building and a small administrative building. Total hours approx 6 1/2 per clean.

This position is responsible for creating cleaner, healthier environments for our customers’, their students and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
• Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
• Treat all co-workers and customers with courtesy and respect
