Job summary

Block by Block is seeking a friendly Cleaning Ambassador to enhance public spaces. You will work outdoors in assigned zones, greet pedestrians, and perform litter removal, weed pulling, and surface upkeep while maintaining clear daily reports in English.

Eligible applicants should be 18+, with a high school diploma or GED, and able to work weekends and long shifts. Weekly pay, pay advances, PTO, and free uniforms are offered.

• Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to walk eight hours with breaks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in assigned zone with a rolling trash can.

• Remove litter, weeds, and graffiti; maintain outdoor surfaces.
• Prepare daily reports and communicate in English.

Pay Range: $22.00to $22.00 per hour (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Pay Day!)

Shift/Schedule:

• Weekend availability REQUIRED
• 7:00am to 3:30pm
• 11:30am to 7:00pm

Valid CO Driver's License REQUIRED

What You'll Be Doing :

• This role will provide a high level of visibility at the street level to carry out a wide variety of cleaning tasks in the zone assigned. Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
• Actively acknowledge and engage pedestrians and visitors with a friendly greeting/smile in order to provide directions and/or city information.
• Litter removal -- While moving through the zone with a rolling trash can that has supplies/tools, remove litter: fast food bags, cups, soda cans, cigarette butts, and other debris on the streets/sidewalks and alleys. Remove graffiti and posters from light posts, trash cans, news boxes, etc.
• Pull weeds that grow at the base of tree wells, in cracks in the sidewalks, and vacant lots.
• Damp wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces, such as trash can lids, news boxes, etc.
• Be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to the Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. Must be able to complete basic daily reports of tasks completed, which requires being proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
