What You Can Expect Working in the Cleaning and Service Maintenance Technician (Service Lot Technician) Position

The Cleaning and Service Maintenance Technician (Service Lot Technician) is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of portable storage containers, blast- resistant modular buildings, and other industrial buildings at one of our service yards. In this role, you will utilize basic maintenance skills to make necessary repairs to ready buildings for the next customer after they have come off rent. Common repairs include: the replacement of flooring, windows, doors, lighting, and walls; painting; performing carpentry work; washing and cleaning of units.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the condition of unit to determine type of repair needed and repairs and services the unit, as required.
• Performs preventive maintenance of assets and equipment at customer or company sites. Document work as an outline for the service being done.
• Provides proper and prompt cleaning and maintenance in preparation for the next rental.
• Troubleshoots and performs carpentry, vinyl tile installation plumbing, electrical, HVAC and communication repair or replacement.
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications and ensure quality.
• Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read tape measures and practice basic math.
• Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.
• Works well as part of a team, and individually.
• Basic computer/mobile device skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction, including skills in either carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain forklift or heavy equipment certification.
