Job summary

Voda Cleaning and Restoration is seeking a Cleaning & Restoration Technician to support residential and commercial cleaning and restoration projects. The role involves performing carpet and floor cleaning, mold remediation, water and fire damage restorations, and documenting daily activities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (or GED), basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a growing franchise network.

Responsibilities

• Perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services.
• Complete cleaning/restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, teammates, and management.
• Perform basic equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Inspect and evaluate completed work.
• Maintain inventory and appearance of tools and supplies.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Qualifications And Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred, but not required
• Highly Desired License from the state of Texas
• Texas Mold Worker License

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in gaining and retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, teammate and management.
• Perform basic equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance of, and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.

Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
