Job Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including cleaning, filling, blasting, and sanding.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Complete annual hazardous waste management training.
• Handle hazardous waste by identifying, adding/removing, transferring, and properly labeling waste.
• Respond to spills, fires, or explosions involving hazardous waste, notifying management only.
• Sign hazardous waste manifests if authorized.
• Inspect hazardous waste areas and operate at central accumulation points.
• Perform tasks involving occupational exposure to hazardous waste.

Experience and Skills Required

• Experience with hand power tools preferred.
• Product knowledge helpful.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, hoists, and various air and electric hand tools.
• Capable of working in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, squatting).
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
