Job Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including cleaning, filling, blasting, and sanding.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Complete Annual Hazardous Waste Management Training.
• Handle hazardous waste by knowing materials, adding/removing waste, transferring waste, responding to spills, signing manifests, inspecting areas, operating at accumulation points, and proper labeling, storage, and handling.

Experience and Skills Required

• Experience with hand power tools preferred.
• Some product knowledge helpful.
• Ability to operate overhead crane, hoist, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools.
• Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, squatting).
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent.
