Cleaner (Prepper/Blaster) - 2nd shift at Vactor Mfg. Inc. starting at $28.66/hr. (Manufacturing)

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including cleaning, filling, blasting, and sanding.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Complete annual Hazardous Waste Management Training.
• Handle hazardous waste by knowing which materials are hazardous, adding or removing waste into accumulation containers or tanks, transferring waste, and responding to spills or emergencies (notify management only).
• Sign hazardous waste manifests if authorized.
• Inspect hazardous waste areas and operate at central accumulation points.
• Perform tasks involving occupational exposure to hazardous waste, including proper labeling, storage, and handling.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Experience with hand power tools preferred.
• Some product knowledge helpful.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, hoists, and various air and electric hand tools.
• Capable of working in prolonged postures such as bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
