Job summary

Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District is seeking a dependable custodian for the evening shift to protect and preserve school buildings, equipment, and furniture. The role operates 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, five days a week across 260 days per year, under the supervision of the Principal and Head Custodian.

Under the supervision of the building Principal, and Head Custodian responsible for performing cleaning and custodial duties to protect/preserve buildings, equipment, and furniture.

Job Summary

8.0 hours/day; 5 days/week; 260 days/year

2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma. Works skills substantiated by training and/or relevant work experience.
• An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
• Ability to lift/move items weighing 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Collects, records and maintains data accurately. Applies basic mathematical concepts correctly.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
• Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks. Reacts to interruptions/emerging priorities effectively.
• Demonstrates evidence of appropriate literacy and numeracy skills (i.e. reading comprehension, written/oral communication, mathematical reasoning/application, etc.).
• Embodies high ethical standards/integrity. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
