Job description

Find your purpose joining CentraCare and the St. Cloud Hospital as a Hospital Cleaner (EVS), working to keep our patients safe and our facilities clean.

We are seeking qualified Day Shift workers with good communication skills for various part-time morning shifts. This is afast-paced position that requiresinteracting and communicating with otherswhile sanitizing patient rooms and public spaces throughout the hospital. Previous experience in housekeepingor commercial cleaningis ideal but not required. You will need to communicate fluently in this position as you will have direct contact with patients, families, doctors, nurses and other staff members that will need to conduct conversations with you in English.

Schedule:

• Days | 8-hour shifts
• Part-time | 16-31 Hours every two weeks (2-4 shifts per two week pay period)
  • Our Part-time shifts are typically every other weekend + one “flex” day during the week.
  • Many of our candidates will start with a Part-time position, working their way up to Full-time when something comes available.
• Every other weekend/holiday

Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):

• Wage rates start at $16.98 per hour offering more with experience.
  • Full pay range for this position is $15.36 to $23.04 hourly.
• Weekend shift differential is + $1.05 per hour.

Qualifications :

• Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others required.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• May be required to wear Hospital Scrubs (pants)
• Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Duties:

• Hospital cleaners sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged.
• Tasks include: vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms.
• Position includes working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
• PPE isrequiredandprovided to protect your health and safety!
