Job summary

SERVICON is seeking a dedicated janitor to clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned areas in accordance with our quality and safety standards and client expectations. You will perform routine cleaning, restocking, and reporting as needed in offices, lobbies, and common areas.

The role emphasizes interpersonal skills, reliability, and time management, with a friendly, energetic culture and full‑time hours at our Torrance site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years custodial cleaning experience preferred.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles and remove waste.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and clean spills.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from doors and walls.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean and orderly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
