Job summary

Servicon, a family and women-owned local company with over 50 years of experience in environmental solutions, seeks a custodial cleaner. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas to meet quality and safety standards, with occasional client interaction.

Responsibilities include waste handling, floor care, dusting, and door/glass cleaning, plus keeping the janitor's closet orderly and performing other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe waste receptacles and remove waste to designated areas.
• Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or mop hard floors, and damp-mop spills.
• Hand dust and wipe office furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and surfaces.
• Remove finger marks from doors, frames, switches, and glass surfaces.
• Maintain janitor’s closet in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
