Job summary

Edge Sports Global in Rockland, MA is seeking a part-time Janitor/Cleaner for the Mark Bavis Sports Complex. The role reports to the General Manager and maintains cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitary conditions during Sunday–Tuesday evenings, with an immediate start.

Duties include cleaning restrooms, common areas, offices, kitchen, and food court spaces; trash removal; restocking supplies; and noting repairs for supervision.

Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred; at least 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Experience as janitor, custodian, day porter, or cleaner is beneficial.
• Good oral and written communication; neat appearance; reliable and responsible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions inside and outside the venue.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, foyer, office spaces, kitchen, and main activity areas.
• Complete daily tasks (trash removal, recycling, restrooms, public areas)
• Complete weekly/monthly projects (carpets, floors, windows, dusting)
• Restock products (soaps, paper products, deodorizers, sprays)
• Maintain cleaning chemicals and tools inventory
• Report repairs to Operations Supervisor
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Assist with event setup/takedown as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Edge Sports Global has an immediate opening for a Janitor/Cleaner for Mark Bavis Sports Complex.

This position functionsunder General Supervision of the General Manager. He/She will maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitary conditions of the facility. This position is part-time. Sunday-Tuesday evenings. Immediate start available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Helps to maintain clean and sanitary conditions inside and outside the venue.

• Cleans and sanitizes all areas of the building including, restrooms, foyer, office spaces, kitchen, and main activity areas.

• Completes daily tasks (trash removal, recycling, restrooms, cleans public surface areas in food court, etc)

• Completes weekly or monthly projects (vacuuming carpets, mop and polish floors, windows and dusting as needed).

• Restocks products such as soaps, paper products, deodorizers, and sprays.

• Maintains supply of cleaning chemicals, tools, and related items.

• Maintains a log of any repair items detected and report to Operations Supervisor.

• Follows oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

• May assist other Operations Department staff set up and take down special event equipment and materials.

• All other duties as assigned.

• This position is currently part-time, (24-28 hours per week) but may transition to full time if needed.

Education and/or Experience

High school graduate preferred; at least 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience as janitor, custodian, day porter, or domestic cleaner will be beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

Good oral and written communication skills; must maintain a neat appearance; must be dependable, self- motivated, and responsible. Must have stable work history and ability to work to a high standard.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to work an irregular schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays for special events. Must be able to pass a US criminal background check. Must be authorized to work in the US.
