Job summary

Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, IL seeks a dedicated Cleaner to perform cleaning and disinfection of patient-care areas, offices, and common spaces. This full-time role includes weekends and federal holidays with multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or environmental-services experience preferred.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing prolonged standing, walking, and bending.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English sufficiently to understand work and safety instructions.
• Must successfully meet applicable background investigation, security, and VA badging requirements.
• Must be reliable, professional, and willing to complete required VA safety, privacy, infection-control, and job-specific training.
