Servicon, a family and women-owned local company in Los Angeles with over 50 years in environmental solutions, seeks a diligent custodian to clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas according to standards.

You will empty waste, vacuum, mop, dust furniture, and address smudges on doors and surfaces, while keeping the janitor's closet neat and ready for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 1+ years custodial cleaning experience or equivalent preferred.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills required.
• Problem solving and time management skills required.

Responsabilités

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles and dispose waste appropriately.
• Vacuum rugs and carpets, sweep or mop hard floors, and clean spills in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, and air-conditioning diffusers.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from doors, switches, glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
