Job summary

First Student in Cranford, NJ is hiring a Service Employee to perform interior cleaning of school buses and maintain facility spaces. You will handle cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and restroom upkeep, while ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met across bus interiors and work areas.

The role emphasizes reliability, ability to work with a team or alone, and physical stamina to perform lifting and bending.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Physically capable of standing, bending and lifting.
  • DOT drug testing required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior cleaning of school buses, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
  • Clean and maintain facility areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
  • Ensure buses and work areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Support general yard organization to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Now Hiring: Service Employee - Cranford, NJ

Pay: $16.35 - $16.50 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (primary focus on interior bus cleaning) Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (facility cleaning, restrooms, and bus interiors).

Service Employee Responsibilities
  • Perform interior cleaning of school buses, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
