Responsibilities

• Cleans occupied patient rooms by dusting, disinfecting, mopping, restocking, and inspecting.
• Cleans discharge rooms promptly for incoming patients.
• Cleans support and critical care areas including nurses' stations, lounges, ICUs, and isolation rooms.
• Enters data into the bed tracking system.
• Inspects ancillary and patient areas.
• May serve as team leader, planning tasks, assigning work, and training staff.
• Strips, waxes, dust mops, damp mops floors; vacuums and cleans carpets.
• Trains and instructs new housekeepers on hospital policies and procedures.
