Job summary

MACOM is seeking an Engineering Technician to support yield engineering in a clean room environment in Lowell, MA. You will set up and monitor yield data from wafer fab and external foundries, create metrology recipes, and deliver accurate data to engineering and management.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in semiconductor clean room manufacturing, strong computer skills, and fluency in written English. AOI/metrology equipment experience is a plus; ITAR rules apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Min 3–5 years’ experience in semiconductor clean room manufacturing.
• Fluent in written English.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Familiar with AOI and/or semiconductor metrology equipment would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Work with Yield Engineering to set up, collect, monitor and analyze yield information from Wafer Fab and external foundries.
• Create and maintain metrology recipes and programs on multiple tool sets including AOI, Surfscan, SEM measurements, profilometers, etc.
• Provide detailed and accurate data from these operations to engineering and management in a timely fashion.
• Ability to do basic analysis on data and provide basic reports.
• Familiar with basic SPC rules and practices.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Work in a class 1000 clean room environment.
