Job summary

G.S. Precision is seeking a Clean Room Technician/Coatings Float for 1st shift to support aerospace and defense manufacturing. You will prep the clean room, clean parts, calibrate equipment, inspect filters, and assist in coatings, ensuring parts meet specs and proper documentation.

You will work in a fast-paced team across multiple locations, with strong emphasis on attention to detail, problem solving, and collaboration. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to use a microscope, thermometer, micropipettes, and analytical balance.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, customer specifications, SOPs, and other procedures.

Responsibilities

• Start up and prepare the clean room; perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and preparation.
• Manage cleaning solutions and test and calibrate equipment as required.
• Clean parts using ultrasonic cleaning followed by manual cleaning with a nylon brush; dry parts as required.
• Operate the filtration system and weigh filters at different stages using a scale.
• Use an oven to dry filters and parts.
• Catalog and laminate completed filters.
• Inspect filters under a microscope for hard-particle contamination.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Vacuum-seal, package, and ship conforming parts.
• Provide coverage and assist in other areas of the coatings department as needed.

Clean Room Technician/Coatings Float Person — 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Position Summary
The Clean Room Technician performs clean-room preparation, part and filter cleaning, filtration, inspection, documentation, and packaging to ensure products meet applicable requirements and specifications. The role also includes sandblasting and providing coverage or support in other areas of the department as needed.
