Job description

Clean Room Machinery Mover (Rigger) Garland, TX

Join us to apply for the Clean Room Machinery Mover (Rigger) Garland, TX role at MEI Industrial Solutions.

Position Summary

Set up, assemble, or disassemble job-specific rigging, selecting proper gear and equipment based on size, weight, dimensions, and movement area to safely secure machinery, tools, and equipment for relocation or transportation. Control, manipulate, fabricate, and repair rigging and support structures. Use hand signals, flags, or verbal communication to coordinate with operators and team members. When not rigging, responsibilities may include driving a commercial vehicle, performing maintenance or welding, assisting in warehouse activities, or other tasks as needed.

Clean Room Duties
  • Unload trucks using forklifts, including uncrating, cleaning, and disposing of crating materials.
  • Properly smock up to prevent contamination of the cleanroom environment.
  • Learn to operate skating tools, air dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • Maintain a detail-oriented and safety-conscious approach, understanding and following safety protocols and customer procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Cleanroom experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions closely.
  • Use deductive and inductive reasoning to predict job outcomes.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools, hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including tape measures, levels, calipers, gauges, welding, and cutting tools.
  • Accurately estimate weight-bearing capacity of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as needed.
  • Familiarity with hand or flag signals and their meanings.
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety requirements, including PPE usage.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This is physically demanding work requiring climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Ability to work at heights, in outdoor weather conditions, and on uneven terrain is necessary. The work environment includes a controlled cleanroom setting, requiring strict adherence to ISO standards and PPE protocols.
