Job summary

Acumed, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Clean & Packaging Technician to perform cleaning, labeling, and packaging of non-sterile and sterile medical devices. The role includes final sterile packaging, passivation steps, and non-sterile packaging, with a Monday–Friday shift 6:00am–2:30pm.

Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints are required. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, effective communication, and proficiency with basic computer tools

Responsibilities

• Clean/Passivation: follow cleaning requirements; perform chemical titrations; maintain processing chemicals; operate equipment for cleaning and passivation of medical devices.
• Non-Sterile Packaging: package non-sterile product for inventory; inspect and reconcile orders and labels; operate automated packaging equipment.

We're committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone's empowered to be their best.**Job Scope**The Clean & Packaging Technician is responsible for the cleaning, label printing, and packaging of both non-sterile and sterile medical devices.***Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm*****Responsibilities**A level 1 Clean & Packaging Technician is responsible for all the General Duties and Responsibilities for the role, as well as the Roles and Responsibilities for one Processing Focus.**General Duties and Responsibilities*** Identifies product according to production order ticket and direct part marking* Identifies equipment malfunctions and reports needed repairs.* Follows all written procedures.* Actively promotes and supports continuous process improvement activities.* Completes process documentation in accordance with good documentation practices.* Performs additional processing steps as required by SAP route* Ensures calibrated instruments are within calibration range* Participates in the training of new employees* Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance* Other duties as assigned**Processing Roles & Responsibilities**Final Sterile Packaging* Consistently and accurately inspects, verifies, and reconciles orders and labels.* Inspects packaging for conformance with specifications.* Uses blueprints to determine packaging components and configurations.* Performs non-clean room activities for sterile product, including boxing and labeling, shrink wrapping, and external shipment operations.Clean/Passivation* Uses blueprints to identify cleaning process requirements.* Performs chemical titrations for the passivation procedure.* Maintains processing chemicals, including but not limited to, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide and citric acid.* Operates equipment to perform both the cleaning and passivation of medical devices.Non-Sterile Packaging* Packages non-sterile product for storage in inventory.* Consistently and accurately inspects, verifies, and reconciles orders and labels.* Inspects packaging for conformance with specifications.* Operates automated packaging equipment**Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor* Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand and complete all paperwork* Ability to work independently* Excellent attention to detail* Good organizational skills* Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)* Familiarity with basic computer use: Experience with Excel, Word & Outlook preferred* Previous Packaging experience preferred* Ability to understand and follow line-clearance procedure* Self-motivatedFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
