Job summary

Small Parts, Inc. is seeking a finishing operator to clean oil from stampings, tumble and deburr parts as part of the finishing process. You will operate all department equipment safely and efficiently, using the correct media and chemicals per instructions.

You will document each part's process, place finished parts in proper containers, and keep equipment clean to protect lot integrity. Some on-the-job training is provided; prior finishing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to gain proficiency through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the department safely and efficiently.
• Use the proper media and chemicals in the correct amounts and according to instructions to achieve the desired results.
• Properly document the processes performed on each part.
• Place the finished parts in the proper containers after they have been finished.

JOB SUMMARY

• Performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions
• Ability to operate department equipment safely and efficiently

Preferred

• Knowledge of finishing techniques and processes
• Understanding of ISO/IATF 16949

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); three months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to gain proficiency through on-the-job training
