Job description

The Distributed Resource Integration ("DRI") team seeks a highly motivated individual with strong communication, research, and organization skills to serve as a Clean Energy Specialist Quality Assurance. The DRI organization manages the company's needs related to the evolving utility environment, primarily driven by the New York Public Service Commission, Federal and State regulations, and customer demands. Activities support the company's role in achieving New York State's clean energy goals set by the Reforming the Energy Vision ("REV") and Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act ("CLCPA").

The Clean Energy Specialist Quality Assurance will lead quality assurance efforts across regulatory filings and other projects. The primary objective is to support the DRI teams in organizing and tracking regulatory filings, reporting, and materials related to CLCPA, electrification, and Distributed Energy Resource ("DER") integration. Responsibilities include tracking reporting requirements, maintaining procedures, monitoring the company's clean energy commitments, and supporting the CEO Certification program for DRI. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of handling multiple assignments to meet deadlines.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Organize and track regulatory filings and materials related to CLCPA, electrification, and DERs.
  2. Assist with reviews to identify risks, process improvements, and compliance adherence.
  3. Coordinate with SMEs across DRI teams and external groups.
  4. Follow proceeding statuses from NYPSC and NJBPU.
  5. Assess work processes, review procedures, and recommend improvements.
  6. Conduct independent research on the electric power industry.
  7. Prepare presentations for communication with executives, regulators, and stakeholders.
  8. Assist in updating procedures for new and existing processes.
  9. Perform additional tasks to support the DRI team.
  10. Support the CEO Certification program for DRI.
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field, with at least two years of relevant experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • 1-2 years in the utility industry with a strong understanding of strategic issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information into reports and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and exercise judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with data and document tracking (preferred).
  • Analytical data management skills (preferred).
  • Experience in Engineering or Regulatory/Policy areas (preferred).
  • Project management experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of electric and gas transmission/distribution systems (preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License required.
Additional Physical Demands
  • Respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Travel within the company service territory and to other locations.
