Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a finishing technician to operate equipment for belting, stoning and gauging metal castings ranging from 5 to 50 pounds.

The role requires adherence to MSDS guidelines and safety policies while contributing to overall production efficiency. The candidate will perform cleaning, cap operations, mold prep, dewax, and other tasks, recording daily activity and maintaining clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform clean and cap operations: clean & cap tasks, mega dip, mold prep, dewax, flash fire, and special lot expediting.
• Meet efficiency standards set by Engineering.
• Record daily work and time distribution by operational codes.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe according to rules.
• Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with customers, clients, coworkers and supervisors.

Job description

The finisher must be able to perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in the belting, stoning and gauging of metal castings, defined as turbine components or castings of comparable weight and size (from approximately 5 to 50 pounds).

Specific Duties:

• Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
• Perform all clean and cap operations, including but not limited to: clean & cap tasks, mega dip, maintaining all automated equipment, mold prep, dewax, flash fire and special lot expediting.
• Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering.
• Record, on a daily basis, all work performed and the correct distribution of the work time identifying same by operational codes.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, following all safety rules.
• Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
