Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Service Technician Apprentice to learn essential home repair skills while delivering exceptional service to customers. This role focuses on repairing common service issues on offsite built housing and responding quickly to service calls as part of a supportive, values-driven team.

You will perform general maintenance, assist with the Welcome Home process in the region, and help keep the service van and inventory in top condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Repair service problems on offsite built housing.

• Coordinate with HX/Dispatch and assist with related duties.
• Act as a CX/VOC advocate for the model home center and region.
• Support the Welcome Home process in the region.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Maintain and clean the service van and equipment.

The Service Technician Apprentice position is a great learning opportunity. Your focus will be on learning common home repair skills and providing customers with exceptional service.As a Service TechnicianApprentice,your primary responsibilityis to repair common service problems associated with offsite built housing. You will provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to service calls and ensuring that all repairs are completed in a thorough andtimelymanner.

Responsibilities

Your specific duties in this role will include:

• Performing general maintenance tomaintainproperty appearance and condition
• Ensuring all audit compliance measures are taken on the property and inventory
• Completing service requests
• Perform all functions related to HX/Dispatch for the role
• A CX/VOC advocate for the model home center and region
• Play a key role in the Welcome Home process:
• Performingpreventativecare on HVAC and other systems
• Repairing exterior and roof damage
• Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of the service van:

Requirements

As a Service Technician Apprentice, you must be reliable, dependable, and friendly with a solid work ethic and a sense of pride in your work. You must also be organized with strongtime-managementand prioritization skills. It is also important that you display strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as a commitment toa high levelof customer satisfaction.This position requires hand eye coordination, physical strength, and the ability tostoop, bend, lift, and climb.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• The ability to lift and move furniture, wallboard, water heater, etc. (100 lbs.)
• The endurance to perform strenuous tasks
• The ability to safely climb ladders
• The ability to work in all environments (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow)

• Possess valid driver's license and auto insurance

Compensation: __

• As a Service Technician Apprentice with Clayton, you will receive an hourly wage ranging from $21.00-$24.00 depending upon experience.
