Clayton is seeking a Home Consultant to guide customers through identifying floor plans, options, and coordinating construction. You will help buyers visualize homes, set appointments, and present features to create value.

This role emphasizes relationship selling, teamwork, and strong communication, with a base salary plus commission and comprehensive benefits. The position requires retail experience, licensing readiness, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship driven B2C sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Move and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsabilités

• Guide customers to identify floor plans and options and coordinate the construction process.
• Create a world class home buying experience and assist with showroom visits.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up via the CRM system.
• Set appointments using the prospect database and web leads.
• Present model homes and demonstrate features and benefits.
• Participate in sales meetings and training opportunities.
• Assist manager with inventory and showroom appearance.
• Develop and execute a local sales/marketing plan to increase center traffic.

Themain job purpose as a RetailHome Consultantwith Clayton will be to create a world class home buying experience byassistingcustomers toidentifya floor plan, select options, and coordinate the construction process.

• Clayton Ambassador – protect the Clayton branding and assets bymaintaininga high levelof integrity throughout the sales process
• Constant Learner – developexpertisein areas such as finance mortgage concepts, product, sales acumen, sales presentationskillsand your local market
• Customer Follow-up –maintaincustomer files and providetimelyfollow-up with prospective buyers via the company’s CRM system
• Merchandising –assistmanager by helping select inventory, decoratemodelsandmaintainappearance of the homes
• Personal Prospecting – develop,refineand execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic
• Product Demonstration – present potential buyers display homes,demonstratefeatures and benefits to create added value
• Set Appointments – set home center visitsutilizingprospect database and by converting ad calls and web leads to appointments
• Training – participatesin all sales meetings, training opportunities and other company sponsored functions
• Team Oriented –cooperative and collaborative, willing and eager to work in a team environment,assistwith miscellaneous duties asrequired

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relationship driven business to consumer sales preferred
• General understanding of the retail environment
• Ability to obtainappropriate manufacturedhome sales licensing
• Learn andcomply withlegal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening

Compensation

• As a Home Consultant with Clayton, you will receive a $50k base salary plus a lucrative commission plan
