Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation is seeking a Processing Operator at the North Plant Processing department. You will operate the dryer and mill room to convert clay into finished product and perform inspection and tests to confirm conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities include maintaining milling, drying, and screening processes, monitoring gauges and data, setting up equipment for different runs, and coordinating with processing, warehouse and packaging teams to implement adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet the assessment requirements for this position.
• Must possess basic mechanical skills.
• Must visually monitor electronic equipment, cameras and control panels.
• Must be able to read and comprehend product specifications.
• Must understand safety requirements and communications.
• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to enter data into computer databases.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift; lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains milling, screening and drying processes.
• Adjusts equipment controls to meet specifications.
• Monitors equipment operation via gauges and data.
• Sets up equipment for different product runs.
• Troubleshoots issues in mill and dryer areas.
• Performs inspection and test methods for product conformance.
• Collects samples and performs analytical tests.
• Communicates needs and adjustments with processing and warehouse teams.
• Ensures safety rules and cleanliness are followed.
• Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs with maintenance staff.
