Purpose and Scope

This position is responsible for providing professional instruction designed to develop students' academic, social, physical, and skills to prepare them as successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree and endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate. Must be highly qualified, governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the responsibilities and duties of the position.

Degree Equivalency Formula

(PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)

Bachelor's Degree = 4 years plus required experience.
Master's Degree = 6 years plus required experience.
