St. Peter Faber Academy, connected to Xavier University in Cincinnati, seeks a Building Aid & Substitute Teacher to support daily operations, assist teachers, supervise students, and provide classroom coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years in a similar role with goals and responsibilities.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, transitions.
• Provide support for students individually or in small groups under teacher direction.
• Assist with preparation of classroom materials.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe school environment.
• Support office staff and school-wide events as needed.
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations and policies.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, staff, and school matters.
