Broward County Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Teacher/ Classroom Monitor for CORAL PARK ELEMENTARY in Coral Springs, FL. The role supports instructional continuity and student supervision in the absence of the regular teacher.

Responsibilities include reporting daily, following approved lesson plans, maintaining classroom discipline, and teaching up to seven periods. Candidates should have 60 credits, complete the required training, and hold the Broward Substitute Teaching Certificate.

Qualifications

• Sixty (60) semester credits from an accredited institution.
• Complete Substitute Teacher Training Workshop within current school year.
• Qualify for Broward County Substitute Teaching Certificate.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Report to the specified school each day.
• Assume the student supervision responsibilities of the regular teacher.
• Maintain good classroom control, discipline and management.
• Follow the lesson plans provided by the teacher and develop lesson plans, where appropriate, approved by the department head or the team leader.
• Teach up to a maximum of seven (7) periods per day.
• Administer discipline in accordance with state policies; corporal punishment is forbidden.
