Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate’s degree in education or related field.
• 1 year of relevant educational or childcare experience.
• Certification in child first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for lessons, demonstrations, and bulletin boards.
• Operate classroom equipment such as computers, printers, and copiers.
• Ensure students have materials needed for class activities.
• Work with students individually or in small groups for extension or remediation.
• Provide extra help to students with physical, mental, or linguistic limitations.
• Maintain records of students’ progress on goals.
• Supervise bus loading/unloading or car rider drop-off/pick-up.
• Grade assignments and record results in the school system.
• Support students with assistive devices and technologies.
• Adhere to accommodations in IEPs and 504 plans.
• Enforce school rules and participate in parent-teacher conferences.

Education
