Job summary

Washington Elementary School District Sunburst - Glendale, Arizona seeks a paraprofessional to assist teachers and support student learning.

You will provide materials, work with students in small groups, monitor safety in halls and cafeteria, and help prepare lessons and activities. Strong communication with parents is expected; CPR certification is preferred and training may be provided. Immediate start, full-time, hourly pay $15.15–$17.12.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or higher) before hire.
• 60 college credit hours, or an associate’s degree.
• Paraprofessional test experience or CPR certification within 30 days.
• Six months experience with children in a learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by providing materials and handouts.
• Work with students individually or in groups on assignments.
• Monitor playground and cafeteria for safety and behavior.
• Prepare classrooms and photocopy materials for activities.
• Communicate with parents about progress and concerns.
