Job summary

BakerRipley Community Schools seeks a Teacher Assistant to support students and staff across classrooms, offices, and common areas. You will help maintain a positive learning environment and assist with daily activities.

Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience with school-aged children, and comfort using classroom technology; full-time schedule in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and coverage in classrooms as needed
• Provide general campus support in the main office, classrooms, cafeteria, or other campus spaces
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student success
• Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
• Experience using technology and multimedia resources in the classroom
• Be open and receptive to feedback and coaching
