Job summary

BakerRipley is seeking a Lead Teacher in Houston to deliver TEKS-aligned instruction and create welcoming, inclusive classrooms that meet diverse student needs. You will assess progress and adapt methods to help students reach their full potential within a supportive school community.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Education and Texas teaching certification, with ESL experience preferred. Collaboration with families and staff is essential to student success in our education program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required.
• Texas state certification or license as a teacher is required; ESL supplement preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential and foster collaboration with families.

Responsibilities

• Internalize and deliver lesson plans aligned to the TEKS for the assigned content and grade level.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Implement PBIS and other behavior management strategies.
• Manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Interpret and explain student data and progress monitoring.
• Use technology and multimedia resources in the classroom.
• Stay current on best practices and developments in education.
