Job summary

WOODLAND ELEMENTARY in Fairview, Oregon seeks an Educational Assistant to support teachers and students across instructional settings. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, adapting tasks, maintaining learning environments, and supervising students in various areas of the school.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and ideally 2 years of college or PARA Pro/Work Keys. Bilingual/bicultural ability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with school age children.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Equivalent of 2 years of college (AA or 60 credits) or PAR A Pro/Work Keys.
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred and helpful in bilingual assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by implementing lesson plans and developing students' daily living and behavioral skills.
• Maintain classroom equipment, bulletin boards, and student files to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Adapt classroom work to support and reinforce objectives under teacher direction.
• Monitor students in classroom and playground to maintain safety.
• Lead individuals or groups in learning activities as directed by the teacher.
